I’m on vacation. Here are some old letters that I’m refurbishing rather than leaving to wither in the archives. 1. Can I confiscate my co-worker’s screaming monkey toy? Today, as has happened many times over the past few months, some of my close coworkers in our relatively small satellite office decided to play along This “screaming monkey toy.” The noise it makes is very loud, especially in our small space, and I have already (politely) indicated to coworkers that I find the noise not only distracting, but extremely irritating. After the first time, I asked them if they could try…
AIGA NY has unveiled a new logo and strategic direction, marking one of the organization’s most significant changes in more than four decades. The chapter, which is the oldest and largest within the national AIGA network, says the refreshed identity reflects a new commitment to community, visibility and open dialogue in the design industry. Announced today in New York, the update comes at a time when the city’s design ecosystem is both expanding and evolving. Stacey Panosopoulos, executive director of AIGA NY, says this work is less about reinvention and more about clarity. “This project isn’t about starting something new,…

My boss thinks my employee is lying about having cancer Yes, this is an update to “My boss thinks my employee is lying about having cancer.” Yes, she was. He also lied about losing his parents. She is now also lying on LinkedIn about the dates she was…

, Brave enough to date? Then you have almost certainly encountered ghosting, dissonance, or someone who disappears and then comes back as if nothing happened. What hurts most is when hope diminishes, and love feels like a race in which everyone else has the edge. Problem? we are obsessed “Do they like me?” When it’s a question of real power “Do they respect me?” Standards aren’t just a defense – they’re a crime. Presented with warmth and a bit of humor, they spark attraction rather than turn it off. And in this video, you will learn how to do it.
Well friends, the time has finally come to buy a new car. After buying eight cars in the first ten years after getting out of college thanks to my previous car, I now cringe at the idea. I just want to drive a car all the time to save time, hassle and money. However, my 2015 Range Rover Sport, which I purchased in December 2016 with only 10,600 miles, is starting to have a problem. Yes, yes, I know. Land Rovers are notorious for maintenance issues. But at least I had a good nine-year tenure, right? I think so too.…
Congratulations on getting to this point – hope the exam goes well! Things I’ve done for similar stages of life: 1) A weekend getaway – in my case, alone, but I’m sure it would be fun with a partner too – focused on spending time outside in the fresh air/doing efficient projects/adding to the “to-read” pile… One doesn’t have time for things one doesn’t have time for when caught up in studies. I found a little Airbnb cabin a few hours away from mine and had a great time not doing much. Ideally it’s good to have two nights away,…

But new research has revealed (another) place where these plastics are hiding: These tiny plastic particles are accumulating in placental tissue during early pregnancy, and they may be linked to an increased risk of miscarriage.
